ME 104 - Sensors, Actuators and Computer Interfacing

Course Objective
To understand basic electromechanical system integration or "mechatronics". At the end of the course, students know how to use National Instruments LabView software; interface electromechanical components to PC-based digital-to-analog converters and analog-to-digital converters; use Hall-effect sensors; implement strain sensors; control DC motors; design feedback controllers for DC motors; interpret the frequency response of a mechatronic component; use optical angle encoders; and use stepper motors.
