Matlab is installed for the use of all students on all the workstations in the E1 and CSCL labs. You can also run Matlab from a remote X-connection to a Linux system. See the related FAQs at:
http://www.engr.ucsb.edu/eci/faqs Section 8 for information about running an X-connection remotely.

The College of Engineering (COE) also provides and pays for a network license for Matlab. This license is available for faculty, graduate students and researchers. You should contact your department computer support staff. They can help you install the software and set up the license on your workstation.
