ECI will be performing routine maintenance on a number of servers and services during the week of Dec. 19 - 23. The service outages are are scheduled as follows:

1) Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 - 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM:
servers affected:
     www.engr.ucsb.edu
     webmail.engr.ucsb.edu
services affected:
     College, Dept. and individual websites served from www.engr.ucsb.edu will be offline.
     Access to the webmail client will be unavailable.

2) Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 - 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
servers affected:
     mail.engr.ucsb.edu (imap)
     mx1.engr.ucsb.edu (smtp)
     lists.engr.ucsb,edu (list server)
services affected:
     sending and receiving of email.

3) Thursday Dec. 22, 2011 - 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
servers affected:
     hal2.engr.ucsb.edu
     linux.engr.ucsb.edu
services affected:
     ECI domain authentication
     remote access to linux.engr.ucsb.edu.

While we anticipate service outages to be brief, it is possible that named services/servers will be unavailable during the entire service window.

CSIL, E1 and CAD labs will close for Winter Break on Friday, December 09 at 5:00pm and will remain closed until Monday, January 9, 2012.
