Directions

Engineering Insights will be held in the Engineering Corridor on the northeast side of the UC Santa Barbara campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Parking and Registration:

  • Parking for both days will be in the Mesa parking structure. If you requested a parking permit when registering for the event, you may collect it from parking staff at the kiosk in the Mesa parking structure.
  • The Engineering Corridor is about a 10-minute walk from the Mesa structure.
  • A complimentary shuttle will run between the University Plaza (near the Mesa structure) and the Engineering Science Building. Catch the shuttle at the University Plaza Loop between the Mesa structure and Cheadle Hall.
  • Please indicate your need for parking when pre-registering.
  • Tuesday, October 17
    • Registration is from 1:30-2:00pm in the Engineering Science Building Courtyard
  • Wednesday, October 18
    • Registration is from 8:00-8:50am in the tented area in front of the Engineering Science Building
  • Note: Registration is required for attendance

Driving Directions to UC Santa Barbara:

U.S. 101 From the South
Take the Airport/UCSB exit (Highway 217) off U.S. 101 approximately eight miles north of Santa Barbara to the campus East Gate. Make a right turn at the light onto Mesa Road. Make a left turn onto Ocean Road and make a left at the first light, it will be marked Mesa parking structure.

U.S. 101 From the North
Take the Storke Road/Glen Annie Road exit off U.S. 101 approximately twelve miles north of Santa Barbara. Turn right on Storke Road and proceed two miles to El Colegio Road. Turn left on El Colegio Road and proceed to the campus West Gate entrance. Make a left turn onto Ocean Road and make a right at the first light, it will be marked Mesa parking structure.
