Multi-Disciplinary Educational Programs and Services

Engineering is connected to the UCSB campus through several innovative and exciting educational programs designed to expand students' knowledge and provide a broad range of arenas for their technical and theoretical expertise.

The programs include:

• Biomolecular Science and Engineering Program (BMSE)
• Center for Information Technology and Society (CITS)
• Computational Science and Engineering Program and IGERT
• Computer Engineering Program (CE)
• Media Arts and Technology Program (MATP)
• Technology Management Program (TMP)

Outreach and special programs to pre-college and college students include:

• MESA Engineering Program (MEP) and MESA Schools Program (MSP)
• California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP)

In addition, we provide two innovative service and support programs for current students and faculty:

• Engineering Computing Infrastructure (ECI)
• Engineering Machine Shop

Technology Management Program

Where technology becomes business.

The Technology Management Program at UC Santa Barbara offers graduate students a UC recognized certificate program that provides a cutting-edge comprehensive curriculum in management, leadership, entrepreneurship, new product development, marketing and more, taught by world-class scholars, business leaders and entrepreneurs. Undergrads -- whether taking a single course in the program or working toward a certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship -- are also enrolled in the program. Students participate in networking opportunities with top business executives, the Leaders in Innovation Lecture Series and a New Venture Competition that serves as a launch pad for student enterprises.
