Message from the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies

Associate Dean
Dr. Glenn Beltz Associate Dean & Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Welcome to UCSB's College of Engineering, a dynamic intellectual community with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community service. We offer accredited programs in chemical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering, with world-class faculty who bring excitement to education through their research and industrial experience.

Since we are a smaller college within the larger UCSB campus, we offer an excellent student to faculty ratio for engineering courses (about 10:1) while providing students with the services, programs, and opportunities of a larger campus. For example, we offer the option of completing your B.S. and M.S. degrees in five years, participating in an Education Abroad Program, or supplementing your degree program with coursework in technology management.

We hope you consider the College of Engineering at UCSB as one of your educational choices.
