Important Dates for Newly Admitted Students

  • April 12, 2008: Spring Insight
  • May 1: Deadline to submit Statement of Intent to Register (freshmen)
  • May 1: Housing request deadline (freshmen)
  • June 1: Deadline to submit Statement of Intent to Register (transfers)
  • July 15: Final official transcripts due to admissions for fall admits
  • September 15: Fee Payment Deadline for all undergraduate students
  • September 20-21: Move-In Weekend
  • September 22: New Student Convocation
  • September 22-24: Pre-instruction activities
  • September 25: Classes begin

Spring Insight - Open House on April 12, 2008

UC Santa Barbara will be having their annual Spring Insight on Saturday, April 12, 2008. The College of Engineering has some special events scheduled for that day, including a welcome session with our Deans and College representatives and department sessions and tours for each of our majors:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

We will end the day with a collegewide open house where you can view student research and senior design projects or find out more about engineering student organizations, such as Engineers Without Borders. College academic advisors will also be available to answer your questions. Here is the complete College of Engineering schedule.
