Pamela Lopker, President and Chairman of local software company QAD, delivered the commencement address for UCSB engineering and science undergraduates on June 11, 2016. She had words of experience for graduating seniors, including her journey from UCSB graduation into the early years of computer science and technology start-up world, as well as the journey of her husband - Deckers Outdoor founder and Electrical Engineering '73 alum, Karl Lopker - as they grew global businesses from scratch.

"Please look around and see where you can help," were Lopker's parting words of wisdom. "Think about what you can do to help others in the world."
